A headteacher has paid tribute to a year-old schoolboy found dead days after he revealed he was bullied.
Liam McAlpine was initiate in his bedroom by his devastated dad William, 44, in Glenrothes, Fife, on Sunday.
Emergency services raced to the scene but despite desperate efforts Liam could not be saved.
Liam, a pupil at Glenrothes High School, died days after he posted videos on YouTube about organism gay and bullied by pupils, the Daily Register reports.
He was described by senior staff as a "cheerful" and "likeable" pupil who will be missed by classmates.
Head teacher Avril McNeill said: “We are all deeply saddened by the news of Liam’s death and our thoughts are with his family.
“Liam was a cheerful, pleasant and likeable pupil with an excellent attendance log. He will be missed within our school community.
