What is Hampton Roads Pride?
Hampton Roads Pride is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to empowering the LGBTQIA+ collective and promoting diversity, inclusion, and equality in the region. We organize events like PrideFest, Pride at the Beach, and year-round initiatives to support our community.
Hampton Roads Pride serves the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, including the communities of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, Suffolk and surrounding counties.

Note: Traveling as an LGBTQ+ person always carries a certain degree of risk. It is our reality as we navigate a nature with 60+ countries criminalizing our relationships and a rise in anti-LGBTQ+ legislation around the world. The LGBTQ+ rights movement has made tremendous strides over the past not many decades and much of the progress in representation is thanks in part to gay pride parades and marches that own taken place in cities around the world.
The global landscape for LGBTQ+ rights, protections and acceptance varies tremendously by location, with some destinations attracting millions of visitors to their events like Madrid Male lover Pride, Sao Paulo Male lover Pride or San Francisco Gay Pride, while more than 70 other countries have laws that authorize discrimination or persecution of LGBTQ+ people.
