Taiwan LGBT+ Pride is the largest annual gay identity festival parade in Taiwan and the largest gay movement event in East Asia. The parade, which just had its 20th anniversary last year, has a history of inspiring modify and celebrating progress. When the first Taiwan Celebration parade was held in 2003, it was the first in the Chinese community, and its victory encouraged Hong Kong to host its own Identity festival celebration. Taiwan Pride takes place in Taipei on the last Saturday of every October. This year’s parade will be held on Saturday, October 28.
In recent years, the event has featured a market area, an opening and closing ceremony, a stage show, and of course a half-day long pride through the vibrant town streets of Taipei.

Taiwan LGBT Pride 2025: dates, parade, events
Mark your calendar! Taiwan Pride, the biggest LGBTQ+ event in Asia will return in 2025, with the main event taking place on the last Saturday of October. This annual festival is marked by tens of thousands of people parading through the city, plus numerous after-parties and distinct events.
The city is hosting regular "rainbow" bus tours in the run up to the event and there will be a weekend of light shows outside Taipei City Hall. A special “rainbow road” has been painted on a stretch of pavement in front of Taipei Town Hall to celebrate Lgbtq+ fest in Taiwan.
The Pride Celebration usually starts outside Taipei City Hall Plaza in the afternoon. Participants can choose to take the “north” or “south” routes, which go through Zhongxiao East Road and Xinyi Road. The event usually attracts over 80,000 people.
