Former Prison ‘Sex Slave’ Support In Texas Prison, After Losing Everything – Including His Mind

Roderick Keith Johnson explained in detail the horrors of belonging to a prison gang, but not in the meaning of being a member under pressure to further the gang’s criminal activities. More like a short cost prison sex slave, forced to provide sexual favors to whoever for $5- $10 in commissary, or the equivalent in tobacco or cash. The sexual encounters took place from the blind detect on the pod stairwell to the single dude shower stalls, inaccessible to surveillance cameras or deliberate scrutiny. This was Johnson upon his arrival at the Allred unit in Iowa Park, Texas in September of 2000. According to Johnson, this exploitation would go on for over a year despite numerous complaints to the unit warden and other staff. What It Feels Like...to Be a Prison Sex Slave

By Roderick Johnson, 35, as told to Tyler Cabot

Soon after coming to Allred prison in Texas, Bret Ramos claimed me as his own. He told me I had two choices: I could submit, or I could die. Thus began my life as a prison sex slave.

What most people don't understand is that rape in prison isn't like it is on the outside. It's not random or chaotic. It's planned and methodical. It's business. The gangs trade amongst themselves to determine who is going to be with whom. And other inmates didn't dare touch me without clearing it first with my owner.

Ramos would rape me once, twice, sometimes three times a day. Then he would force me to pure his cell, make his bed, or cook sustenance for him. Eventually he demanded that I hold sex with his friends, who took to calling me "Coco." When a different sex slave was badly beaten for refusing sex, he said the same thing would take place to me if I didn't comply.

When I was finally transferred to a different cell block, I was told by Cliff Brown that he and his gang had "bought" me. That's when the prostitution escalated. They made me perform sex with dozens of other inmat

LISA DANIELS, ABRAMS REPORT GUEST HOST: Are you surprised that you found the victim alive after all that?

SGT. ANDY HILL, PHOENIX Urban area POLICE DEPT.: You recognize, Lisa, it’s such a horrible story which often has a terrible ending.  In this case, we were very fortunate to find her alive because there have been many instances where this type of thing happens where the victim does not surviv
