Wayne Brady has revealed he is pansexual, meaning he can have sexual, sentimental or emotional attractions to someone regardless of their gender. In an interview with People magazine, the comedian and actor described it as "bisexual — with an open mind."
Who is Wayne Brady?
The 51-year-old is known for the sketch comedy show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" and is host of CBS' "Let's Make A Deal." He also hosted his own talk exhibit, "The Wayne Brady Show," in the early 2000s.
Brady told People the first person he opened up to about his pansexuality was his ex-wife, Mandie Taketa.
"I just said, 'Great.' As I knew coming out would help him be happier," Taketa told People. Brady and Taketa, 47, share a 20-year-old daughter named Maile.
Brady said for him, "pan means being able to be attracted to anyone who identifies as gay, unbent, bi, transsexual or non-binary."
"Being able to be attracted across the board," he said. "And, I ponder, at least for me for right now, that is the proper place. I took pan to mean that not only can I be attracted to any of these people or types physically, but I could be attracted to the person that is there."

The Let's Create a Deal host recently sat down for an interview with People, and he opened up about identifying as pansexual, and how he defines that for himself.
"In doing my research, both with myself and just with the world, I couldn't express if I was bisexual person, because I had to really see what that was, especially because I really have not gotten a chance to proceed on anything," Brady said. "So, I came to pansexual."
Brady explained, "I realize that I'm completely messing up the dictionary sense — but to me, pan means being qualified to be attracted to anyone who identifies as gay, straight, bi, transsexual or non-binary. Being proficient to be attracted across the board."

The "Let's Make a Deal" host, 51, hosted the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards on Thursday, celebrating Diverse stars and allies in entertainment.
Brady discussed common misconceptions about being pansexual monitoring his reveal in August. "I had to accomplish research and find out what it was that I (am)," he told People on the red carpet.
"The biggest misconception — and I even create a joke about it onstage tonight — is that people think that you're an indecisive bisexual," he said. "No, no. Let me set you straight."
Brady continued, "What the definition basically boils down to is, regardless of gender, regardless. So that means that I am happily free to drop in love with anybody here. If you're homosexual, if you're straight, if you're non-binary, trans, I don't care. It's the person, which in my mind is the ultimate in acceptance and loving."
